The Markstein at an altitude of 1260m is equipped with a slalom slope which was used for the Alpine Ski World Cup in 1983 and 1987 and an international 60m long ski jump.

There are 9 teleskis, 9 slopes and a 60 acres ski area with artificial snow (35 high pressure and 2 low pressure automatic snow canons) ensure skiing throughout the winter on continuously well prepared ski slopes.

Open daily in winter from 9am-5pm
Nocturnal skiing on Tuesdays, and Fridays from 6pm to 10pm

Surfing has been newly introduced to the Markstein which is fully equipped with a surf slope where numerous competitions are held throughout the season.
